The Ohio Players were one of the first band I ever saw play live as a young man growing up in San Francisco . They have been and still are one of my favorite groups of all time ,

Is there any chance the OG's will get together for a tour ? If not can the fans bring them back to get it done? Continue

The world of Funk music has suffered a huge loss with the passing today 1/26/2013 of Lead Singer/Guitarist Leroy (Sugarfoot) Bonner of the world famous Ohio Players. He will be dearly missed!

I just saw Sugarfoot and the Ohio Players at Morongo Indian casino for Funky Friday. If u get a chance to see them ur in for one of the best show u ever seen. Sugarfoot is the man. IThe band is the bomb. They played every note like the records and sung every hit. The only group this good on tour is Maze. If u misss them u b SORRY!

There is an excellent documentary on tvone unsung about the Ohio Players. It's a must see. You can watch it through youtube. It's a heart breaker. It gives a history of the band from their start up to now. It's very informative ,entertaining and sad. In the end it gives you the reason for the two Ohio Players and what's up with Marshal The Rock Jones.

as a fan of the ohio players, it saddens me that the group is split up with the one OG sugarfoot, and another james diamond williams leading separate versions of the group. with lonnie jordans version of WAR and the lowrider band split, its very sad these groups are split up this way i think.
