Awhile later I look up and Garys in an SUV with the promoter getting paid.

A great night and a great show, turned out it was George's Bday and they rocked Des Moines down by the river's side.

Comment by Funken on June 24, 2012 at 5:49pm: 1st official meeting in San Jose @ a club show,circa mid to late '90's.EYE was there, WAY early,tryna catch some SOUNDcheckPreVIEWjolLEEs,right?The WHOLE band was aBOUT the small, dimNdaDAY,club.Had spoken 2 a LOT of the members....and Gary jus seemed 2 ApPear from KnoWEAR??...There wasn't even a PREsmoke PoOF!! R.nothing.He was jus THERE.And EYE literally said"WEAR'd U come from?!And that's saying a moffFULL comiN from sileNt M.E.So N:A WORD IT was A Magical Nfinite Moment.The 2nd NcoUNter was N:L.A. SUMwear...and the band was on stage performiN,and Gary,(so EYE thought) was lOOkin right @ M.E.(Modest Ego)....He came 2wards mEYE direction,while still uP on stage,got off the stage,made his WAY right over 2 WEAR EYE was standing...with my Uncle Jam hat on and ALL,EYE reached out for A Handshake.....And IT was The Longest Handshake Never.IT TurNt BEing the guy standing next 2 M.E.(...Modest Ego!..) who was The One geEKIN Gary's ONEder.IT was TrafF Lewis,TreyLEWD's son:The Son of The SUN of FunKENStein.Leader of God's Weapon.This was SUMtime N:The 2000's.Gary Certain Lee had SUMthing very special about Him.He Pulled TraF up on stage,strapPed a guitar 2 Him and had Him jam with The Band .....Very Nviting.Another Gary GOOD Memory.

Truthfully I could feel that....everytime! 1st time I saw them live I thought "Garry straight up singing to the Lord". Had that hum in his voice. Always talked about testifing. He just took you there whether you were ready to go there or not. I know this is late but Thank you Garry Shider...uhh Glory Be to the One who Knows what the Funk's about ya'll. I had to post this one today......

Comment by Maggot Minister on January 24, 2012 at 10:47am: Him playing my guitar.I handed him my guitar.He was just sitting around letting off some devasting riffs.More or less relaxing off stage around the 420/Drugs scene.I guess it was figuring out what was the difference if any between listening to the records ,seeing him onstage,and then to be there with no stage and still funkin.Then seeing he could equal hisself at any point prior to that moment,and shift a gear and take it even further.The performance was one level of a root that has endless possiblites along that vine.

And at breakfast Garry and Belitta sang a lil harmonious acapella " Happy Birthday" to me...so sweet and such a blessing. Left there and headed to the Middle East Cafe on Haight where on the deserted street this shiny, happy brother decked in red,gold and green stopped to say ( out of the blue), " Happy Birthday, it's my birthday today!" I said, " No shit! It's my birthday too!" ends up he turned 50 that day to my 40. And his name was...CHARLIE DYNAMITE! THAT, I'm sure was initiated by the beauty-full harmonic birthday blessings from Garry and Belitta on that fine Spring day in S.F. May 22 , 2006. Thank U, brother Garry, for THAT and so much MORE! BLESSINGS...
