Michael Star is one of the finest multi-talented creators ever to come out of the
Midwest region. Michael Star’s musical and creative powers exceed the boundaries of this presentation.
A native of Cincinnati, Ohio Michael Star has toured with various professional music and performance groups as a musical director, arranger, vocalist, musician, sound engineer, production and business advisor.
As well as recording, engineering and touring, Michael Star is a notable songwriter. His music track for the widely acclaimed theme song for the National Football League’s 1988 AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals’ “Who –Dey” rapp. Which was picked by CBS and NBC as the best theme song over the entry by then Prince protegee’ Sheila E. for her effort for the San Francisco 49er’s. Also, Michael Star has done tracks for Kevon Edmonds, younger brother of Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, The Deele's "Invitation To Love" album, the Procter & Gamble owned soap operas “The Guiding Light” and “As The World Turns” among other projects.
In addition to his musical creations, Michael Star is also a visual artist. His contemporaneous designs composed from mirror fragments which he calls Fracturez, are original, one of a kind creationz produced by Michael Star to perpetuate the state of individuality. No two Fracturez are alike. Thus, you get an original work of art that will never be replicated.
Michael Star’s Fracturez have been showcased at the Arts Consortium of Cincinnati’s African American Museum, the Cincinnati Museum Center’s African Culture Festival, the Urban League’s annual gala, the Westin Hotel, the Cleveland Art Expo, and various regional venues.
Michael Star’s unique and creative spirit has afforded him the opportunity to be the choice of many studios, galleries and professionals not only in the Ohio region but, also the world.
