The 2017 Cherry Blossom Festival Street Party Gets Funky
the Cherry Blossom Festival Street Party will be headlined by funk legend George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic. Clinton was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1997 and has been releasing music for over 50 years. His hits include “Atomic Dog,” “Loopzilla,” “Why Should I Dog You Out,” “Martial Law,” “If Anybody Gets Funked Up (It’s Gonna Be You),” and “Do Fries Go With That Shake?” Also playing at The Street Party will be Mavis Staples, Chuck Leavell with The Randall Bramblett Band, JD McPherson and Me & Molly. The Cherry Blossom Street Party will take place on Saturday, April 1 at 3 PM at Rosa Parks Square located at Cotton Avenue and Poplar Street.
