Praxis is the name of an ever-changing musical project, led by prolific producer Bill Laswell. Praxis combine elements of different musical genres such as funk, jazz, hip-hop and heavy metal into highly improvised music. First appearing in 1992 with the critically acclaimed Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis), Laswell, guitarist Buckethead, keyboardist Bernie Worrell and drummer Brain have defined the direction of the band over the last 15 years. The group worked with many other artists such as Serj Tankian from System of a Down, Iggy Pop, and Les Claypool from Primus fame.

hey praxologists - you might like the new track from 2MERICA "Keep Steady". Google it, preview it, buy it, and rock it. It's warm and cozy, you know you want to.

at most critical times in my life both musically and emotionally i find myself turning to mutatis mutandis and taking the whole trip with it. it's like king crimson meets p-funk meets hip-hop throwdown, truly one of the most cosmic and best lp's ever dropped.

this record is not from this world - it's the interworld ... also great influence for me as you can check out here: Spearhead-Home Music: Praxis
